I'm probably one of the few Wildcat fans that have watched yhe Cats for 61 years. I started scrambling for even/odd tickets in old Alumni Gym as a fresman in '46.
I know comparing those teams with today's may be apples & oranges but coaching is another thing, as is recruiting.
UK players seem poorly motivated, even in must win games. UK has been outscouted and outcoached too many times(Stallings- Vandy the latest). Poor 1/2 time adjustments have been a factor a number of times.
A lot of young recruits choose other schools (even in the SEC) without seriously considering UK. WE possibly have the best facilities any school can offer.
We need fewer players comments/excuses to the press postgame and more consistent effort during the game. They don't have to tells us what went wrong, we can see that for 40 agonizing minutes.
I realize they are "just kids" but they need to be prepared and motivated with pride for each game played under the banner of UK Wildcats as so many have before them.
We need more P___& Vinegar hustle
on the floor and less of the "Stare" if we are to get past the final 16 or 8 on the way to the final four.
Fresh faces should not be reserved for new players only.
