This is just going to be a very bad day in Lexington, Kentucky
It stinks. I live in Philly and today has been a total waste. Not motivated at all. I don't even want to follow the ncaa tourny this year, but I will cheer on the Cardinals. The coach has got to go. He doesn't have the attitude, commitment, or drive to be a head coach at the University of Kentucky Mens Basketball team. It isn't just a "normal job" as Billy refers to it as. Yes, These are not his players, they are Tubby's-and the team made it to the tourney last year, and for the past 10 years under Tubby's watch. Heck, Tubby has now lead Minn. to the Tourney this year. What does that show you. Tubby might not have been the best recruiter, but he was a damn good coach, mentor, teacher, and he had class and understood that coaching at Kentucky was not just a job, it was an honor. Now we are stuck in a pickle. Yes, it will be hard to start over again, but its better to move on so we can recover sooner rather than later. Pitino, come save us and restore us to the heights we were at before you left us. Heck, they are talking about building a new arena in KY to replace rupp. If you ditch the cardinals and come back home to retire and leave a legacy at ky we can name the new arena in your honor. For those who do not understand or agree with me. Do me a favor, youtube ky basketball in the 90's, the 95 arkansas/ky game, the 98 uk/duke regional. etc then you will remember what those days were like and how we felt about our beloved ky basketball. Just watch, Listen, and remember!!! -josh-
