The Kentucky nation would have an issue with the Wildcats not being ranked number two after dismantling one of the hottest teams in the country in Vanderbilt

There's a case to be made. UK survived longer than the others, only just now showing a blemish. The other contenders have just as many losses. And UK's only loss, a close one on the road, comes sandwiched between very impressive victories, particularly this last one, so the SC game looks like an outlier, not a trend.

But the voters will only see that we lost one this week, while Kansas, Villanova and Syracuse won (two barely escaping). And Big East teams have a lot of bouyancy in the polls because, as we know, theirs is always the strongest conference. Look for UK to drop to No. 4.

I agree with Wheatgerm .. I also expect a #4 Ranking.
