Calipari will better this commonwealth much more than any politician. I'm good with his salary. Cal is an asset. Politicians (all) are a liability.
Does the writer realize that the UK Basketball program runs itself!?! I could care less how much the pay Couch Cal given how much the basketball team brings in for the University each year.
I just wrote the following letter to the editor: LETTER: Anger is an irrational emotion (all emotions are irrational) that must have proper context for clear understanding. Everyone has feelings and that is OK, it is what you do with them that counts. Now to my point, your wrote Kentucky's basketball Coach's $31.7 million, eight-year contract is but a "reflection of what's wrong with college athletics." Your editorial went on to parallel Calipari's average per-game salary with Gov. Beshera's annual salary. Further context is needed! Calipari's salary is not funded by the TAXPAYERS of Kentucky (as is the Governor's)...it is not coming from TAX REVENUE...so why would you cite a poll that is not informed nor did the pollster inform the populace from which his data was derived?? Is it to stir up more negative irrational emotion? I am curious in Alabama. Some clarity please...help diffuse reactionary emotion.
