If he doesnt come to UK, he better stay in Alabama. I dont mind losing a player if they stay home. But I think he will be a Cat. He talks to Cousins, that should be enough to persuade him. And he wants to play with the best players. I'm just glad he's waiting til the spring so we know if we have a scholarship for him. As of now, we dont.
Good thought WG. I guess the possibility of a NBA lockout will dramatical influence how this team proceeds at the end of the year and what happens with next years class. I'm not sure what we need.
On face value your point of a center possibly being of more importance is a good one. Lamb is likely to stay regardless of the NBA situation so the 2 would be covered whereas the center position will be very thin even if we were to magically retain Kanter for two years.
I had Lamb in mind when I asked. We just have to wait and see how Cal plays it. He might choose to go "small" (our front line will hardly be small) until we land a dominant inside presence for 2012.
Gotta say, Lacey's coach sure makes him sound like a gem. 6'4" Magic Johnson? No pressure, Trevor!
We will have Wiltjer, Davis, Vargas and possibly Jones back. That's the same amount as we have this year with a talent gap in Harrellson. So yes, I would prefer a pure shooter. And if another scholarship opens up and we need a big, Cal will probably go the JUCO route again or maybe a raising star from high school.

Great to hear, he's the last piece in a fantastic class.

Do you guys think we need a 2-guard more than a center, such as Baru?
