How does Bruce still have a job? How does Rick still have a job? This is a crazy world.
His suspension is only for those specific eight days. Otherwise, he can be a full-time coach and participate in practices etc. as he normally would.
It's not insignificant, not being on the bench during a game. But it's not what I'd call a significant penalty under the circumstances. They could have kept him from any coaching activity, or suspended him the entire conference season. What does he have to do before they put their foot down, kill someone?
Interesting to hear that the SEC Commissioner, Mike Slive, used to be on the Committee of Infractions and head of the appeals process. If I were UK, I'd be working with him during Kanter's appeal and having him on that conference call during Kanter's appeal.
You ask about Bruce and Pearl but heck, kentucky hired Calimari knowing he is a snake oil salesman. Quit talking about other prorams until you get our own trash taken out.
To the last anonymous, are you an idiot? Because Calipari has ZERO violations. Pearl on the other hand told recruits to keep quiet because they were committing a violation. Is it any surprise those two guys went to other schools? Focus on the school with the cheater here, that would be Pearl. Get off Cal's nuts. You do realize envy is one of the seven deadly sins right?

I can see Rick getting by with his personal behavior(though it was more than that) BUT Pearl???
TN has sold it's soul on this one.
