I love uk and cal but hes right we wont win a nc title if we reload every year. Dont get me wrong in cal i trust and love getting great players but we need to keep some of them to for a few years

I guess we'll see if his plan works in the long run. He'll win one or prove that you must have a core of experienced guys, either way the question whether experience is needed to win a NCAA championship will be answered.

I have no doubt that if unable to pull it off Cal will own up to it and adjust his philosophy accordingly. I thought it quite humorous that in his Fox Sports "mailbag" video series he states while pointing out a picture of last years 5 first round draft picks, "What kind of dummy can't win a National Championship with these five guys?".....

We need to give Coach the usual number of years to see if he can get it done his way. I feel better about his chances now that Vitale has weighed in on the other side!

It wouldn't take much in the way of returning players to make all the difference. Can you imagine what this year's team would be like with Cuz or Orton? Or next year's team with Knight or Kanter? We may lose a few of our very best, but as a practical matter, we're not going to lose all our freshmen every year.

If Cal can't get it done this way, I'm guessing he won't change. He'll push to get the rule changed instead. And if we're winning 30+ games with a Final Four or two to our credit, I can't see us wanting to throw out the baby with the bathwater.
