The Newtons are like a staph infection -- won't go away and keeps popping up. CM gave us Bernadette Locke, Bill Curry, Hal Mumme, Tubby and a phletora of incompetent baseball coaches (give him credit for Pitino). For this we gave him a condo in the tropics. Nepotism is always a bad thing. Of all the possible, better qualified candidates, no one else was CM son's.
Bernadette Locke was first hired by Pitino as his assistant. She was given the women's head coaching position because Pitino realized what a fool move that was and wanted to get rid of her.
C.M. did not hire a baseball coach. Madison was there when he arrived and after he left.
One of the private booster clubs gave CM the Condo.
Pitino was CM's hire only after his first three choices turned him down.
