Landon Slone hopes to meet with Calipari as soon as this week to ask about the possibility of rejoining the UK Team

I really hope he's able to re-join the team. I don't understand Calipari's refusal to keep walk-on's. Sloane seems like the kind of kid who can be an unselfish and positive influence on the team, and he is the poster boy for every high school basketball player from small towns across KY who dreams of playing for UK. I think it would be a great public relations move for Coach Calipari to allow him to walk on. I sure hope it happens.

There is no way that he should be able to play on the team. Two of the reasons are:

1) He quit first...you never let a quitter get their way. It promotes the ideology that if you complain enough you get your way.
2) Any and all of the young men from KY have a dream of being Cameron Mills and going from 'human victory cigar' to valued contributor but are not talented enough to play for Morehead State.

Let coach be the coach and not someone who has to worry about 'making right PR decisions' by allowing sub-par talent to walk-on because some fans want a KY boy on the team.

It will be interesting to see how Cal responds to Slone's request. Both sides of the argument have merit. One option for Cal would to bring on an entirely unknown deserving KY boy walk on - there is no shortage of kids that fill that nitch.
