Extremely depressing as I remember full well what happened to us last year against USC ... twice! I am like many others, "What has happened to Patrick Patterson?"
Mark your calendar Feb 25th for USC's appearance at Rupp.
Now watch for Vandy, they are fully capable of winning this Saturday.
UK looked like crap. Maybe now Calipari can get their attention, show them the game tapes and get them to really focus on playing consistently tough, hard-nosed basketball on both ends of the floor. And by the way, where was Patterson? This is his team, not Wall's, not Cousin's but he was practically invisible. He's got to take command, take control, take over the game when things start to get tough, not cede leadership. You're an all-American, Pat -- play like it!
I would like to thank Patrick Patterson for doing absolutly nothing tonight. We got our ass whipped on the boards. Patterson needs to help cousins inside. The freshman can't do it all all the time.
im very sad at this loss. i dont think patterson should take all the blame. wall wasnt everything he could be tonight. in fact no one played good but cuz.it doesnt matter though, i still love them all and they are always #1!!go my wildcat boys!!
Wall is awesome, but he's still a freshman. A freshman who once again got 17+ points. One man can't be blamed for the loss, but when your power fwd. starts playing like a guard and forgets to rebound it definitly makes a difference. Come on Pat!! Hit the boards!! Get some put backs!!
please dont dis patterson. i remember when he was all we had.he came back this year when he didnt have to.i do think patterson needs to help cuz more. we dont know all the details to say things.we cant hate on them everytime they lose.i am a true fan and i love them all to the end, win or lose.
I don't hate him. I love UK. I'm calling him out for his lack of effort tonight. The only time he attempted to get a rebound was in the last minute of the game. We are the #1 team in the country and he is our leader. He was SCORELESS in the 2nd half. Like any UK fan I understand we can't win every game. Nobody does. But you have to make the effort every game. We lost tonight because SC got 20 offensive rebounds. You CAN"T win when that happens.
Yeah watch Texas come in and beat kansas FEB. 8th or better yet kansas state.Kansas isnt a #1 team , they lost it once and they will lose it again!!Kentucky might of lost tonight but we will WIN it all in the end.GO BIG BLUE!!
We'll see. Watch UK get beat again by "V" this weekend. Uk really hasn't played anyone yet, like KU. And, are talking about Texas....Texas that just lost 2 ganes? Ya right. Ku will kick ass in the end. Mark my words!!!!
We can look on the bright side. They had 15 turnover, numerous missed layups, and SC had 20 off. rebounds. No one but the freshman scored in the second half. Not to mention the 30 points ole dude scored for the gamecocks. All that and they still had a chance to win the game. They are by no means out of it. We'll see this sat.
UK Looked like crap and there were alot of phantom fouls allowed to be called in Downeys favor. The one with 2 seconds left on the shotclock with the inbounds pass is one and several others. You can even see ont he players faces they throw up their hands looking like "WTF call was that"
You must play through 'bad calls' because they are out of your control. Coaches will often get technical fouls to try to make a point ... thats about all you can do.
But Downey's scoring was mostly offset by Cousins points ... it was the rest of 'their' team OUTPLAYING the rest of 'our' team last night. Who thought that would/could happen?

I'm concerned that Vandy has already beat USC on this court by 10.
Vandy is tough. We have to gaurd the 3's and our offense has to wake up. We cannot have another game like this in conference play.
