Denis House of The Sentinel Echo in London (KY) says DeMarcus Cousins's actions are not a good representation of Kentucky basketball

The author is trying to create a sensation. He calls Cousins a thug, says he has twice thrown an elbow at an opponent and "clocked" them. Says both were flagrant, and both could have caused serious injury had they landed full force.
That's inaccurate. If he were paying attention, he'd know that neither involved a thrown elbow. The first was a forearm shove to Swopshire's right collarbone. It was violent, retaliatory (for Swop's knee to the face) and could have warranted ejection, but the refs judge it unsportsmanlike, not flagrant. The other was a high forearm blockout against Vandy. Nothing thrown, nothing violent. The refs reviewed it and judged it nothing but a common foul.
But that doesn't fit the author's storyline, or his purpose, which is to create a stir. (For good measure he takes a dig at Wall.)
Here's an idea. E-mail the American Chronicle and its advertisers and say you're boycotting their products. That should create a stir.
I think it's high time we had a player stand up for UK. We have gone to many years, with no talent and no spirit. Magloire sp? was the last player at UK who had the attitude you need to compete on this high of a level. I wrote the author of that newspaper and told him the same I am telling you. UK needs someone to stand up and say not here not tonight, will you muscle me out of the way. I am proud to see Demarcus show the world we will stand up to all comers.
