Was Knight ever scheduled to go to Rupp on GameDay? Was he ever reasonably expected to appear there on Saturday?
If not, how can we call him a coward or blame ESPN for not sending him there?
I don't need any more reason to call the bastard names, but show me some evidence that he's ducking out or that ESPN is trying to avoid an unpleasant scene.
The writer is demagoguing the matter, which I rather enjoy, but let's be fair.
Knight was definitely scheduled to report for Game Day, and I had that day marked on my calendar in very bold letters. He just doesn't want to show up in such a hostile Rupp Arena. He should know how to take it like a man if he thinks he can dish it out.
