Why do some writers not have to no a lick, and still are able to write for the general public. Dodson is no Freshman.

Dodson graduated from Eleanor Roosevelt High School (Greenbelt, MD, outside DC) in 2007 as the highest scorer in school history. Enrolled in but was ruled academically ineligible to play for Pitt, where Orlando Antigua recruited him. Went to Miami-Dade Community College (the Sharks), where he was redshirted his freshman year. Made the All-Southern Conference team 2008-09. After the Big East ruled he could not play for any conference school because he official enrolled at Pitt before going JUCO as a nonqualifier, Dodson committed to Memphis but followed Calipari to UK. Because of his redshirt year at Miami-Dade, he has three years of eligibility at UK. And as a two-year JUCO transfer, he did not have to sit out a year after transferring.

So, not a freshman. Point taken. But what is he? In his third year of college, he should be a junior, right?

The official site of the Kentucky Wildcats, www.UKAthletics.com, currently lists him as ... a sophomore.

Sometimes writers make mistakes every now and then. Dodson is a newcomer, so it's easy to get that confused. So Dodson could be a junior, but is a sophomore. ...
