I know the Refs should take some hits but we lost this game on Poor 1st half Defense. You'd like to be able to shoot better from the 3 ... but if you stop the drive especially in the 1st half, you win this game.
I give Tennessee credit for nothing. If we shoot our normal percentage from outside and play the interior defense we're accustomed to, we win that game easily.
"Terrible performance on short rest from our guys." --- and that was part of the plan. UK played LATE Thursday night, TN has been off since last Tuesday. Run UK ... that was the early plan. Create a buffer zone and milk the shot clock thereafter. This was no fluke. Look, I don't like it either but Bruce Pearl is not an idiot.
sometimes a loss is good..though I never like Kentucky losing...but sometimes it lifts at the right time of year...just a road loss...would love to play Tennessee in SEC tournament..maybe we can make 3 of 22 from threes. Really bad defense in 1st half and YES refs let them play which always works in the favor of TN...just need to pick up defense and shoot better from outside
Kentucky turned the ball over at will, allowed more shots from two feet in than I ever remember in single game, and shot 2-22 from three point range. Which one of those UK mistakes do you attribute to Bruce Pearl's gameplan?
Did he make the schedule, maybe?
Bruce Pearl is a clown running a circus and we allowed them to steal the show. It's all on UK.
Give Tennessee credit for not missing layups and getting defensive rebounds on our 22 missed outside shots, but they didn't play well enough to win in a normal UK game.

First of all the New ESPN contract created a Thursday night SEC Game. If you've notice other teams have been playing them on their networks this season.
Second, part of basketball IS catching a break ... the fundamental core of UT plan was capitalizing on UK's fatigue which led to your missed shots and slow legs to cover defensively.
It is very simple. Another example of the Cal is not a good coach but a good used car salesman. Pearl has outcoached him with less talent and beat him before with the same. Simply put...CAL SUCKS!

Also, Give TN credit ... they had a plan and they carried it out.

I just don't understand the logic of giving Bruce Pearl credit for not screwing up the breaks he caught.
