Tradition doesn't mean slavishly doing everything the same way without deviation. This isn't the Catholic Church. You make your own traditions. Eventually you stop playing in Memorial Coliseum and Freedom Hall and Rupp Arena. Maybe you play Michigan State in a football stadium. Change can be welcomed. Then again, maybe you wear trunks that look like hula skirts (remember those?).
What's absolutely amazing is that you're reading the UK blog and getting your nose all bent out of shape. Explain that. Are you a masochist or just full of loathing?
