Copy that, Glenrider. Sounds like a hybrid Rose-Maggette case. Academic eligibility question (Rose) plus possible payments before the kid went to college (Maggette). But unlike Rose, there's no suggestion of cheating by Bledsoe. And unlike Maggette, the benefits didn't come from professional sports agents. Unfortunately, it won't matter if UK and Calipari are exonerated. Even if it won't act in the Duke case, the NCAA will impose a penalty of some kind if it's satisified Bledsoe was ineligible for one reason or the other before UK became involved with him.

As Jay Bilas will attest, there will be the usual rush to judgment. Trolls will presume guilt and place the burden on Calipari and UK to prove their innocence. And even if they do, it won't matter. Like the Camby and Rose affairs, all people will remember is the penalty, from which they will create the backstory that suits their purposes.
