Someone makes a good observation in the comment section: As the NCAA has never implicated Calipari in any rules violation, there's nothing to "stick." So the Teflon reference makes no sense.
And as she goes on to suggest, it's an ethnic slur to compare Calipari to John Gotti, the mobster famously known as the Teflon Don. Sportswriters can get away with that kind of thing?
