I think the NCAA has satisfied itself that Bledsoe was academically eligible. But we need to pay careful attention to what the AHSAA might do, because that could force the NCAA's hand.
Third parties can determine the outcome. In the Rose case it wasn't the NCAA that ruled his SAT score invalid. It was the ETS, the service that administers the test. And without a valid SAT score, the NCAA's hands were tied. It had to declare Rose academically ineligible ab initio.
The real danger, as I see it, is whether the AHSAA decides to pull the rug out from under Bledsoe's GPA. That would automatically vacate every college game he played in. The NCAA won't have any discretion in the matter.
im a lil behind on this. wouldnt the AHSAA have to PROVE it then? i mean right now its circumstantial that he went from bad grades to excellent grades. right?
I suspect nothing will come from the GPA aspect of the AHSAA inquiry, on the other hand the possibility there was payment of rent by Eric's coach could be an issue that may cause forfeiture of his senior year wins.(If there is proof)
Wrong again Marc. The factor to be investigated by the AHSAA will be Bledsoe's academics, not whether somebody paid the family rent. The NCAA will not get involved in going after a family for accepting subsistence type aid. The AHSAA has an interest at this point because their own credibility has been challenged. But they also are not about to come down on one of their favorite sons for the same reason. It is ALL about whether Eric was involved in academic fraud, and, if Eric himself was involved in the shake down scheme of the college coaches – which so far is nothing more than a hearsay comment from some supposed assistant coach.

That's where our fate lies. With the AHSAA.

Neither of which is an issue for UK.

Listen numbnutz, I was commenting on the AHSAA issue singularly, not the NCAA aspect of what may or may not happen.
Please pack your crayons, stick your thumb back in your mouth and go outside and play.
