William Wesley is undeniably close to Calipari

Great article. A picture of William Wesley that's grounded in actual information. Not Kyser Soze fantasies.

Pushing Cousins out the door when Cousins didn't want to go is painted as a good thing, an unselfish act by Calipari you don't see from other coaches. But that's not right. It's not Cal's life, it's not his decision to make. He needs to appreciate the power of his influence over these kids and work hard to allow them to make the decision that's right for them, even if it means staying in college another year. (gasp!)

I also have to disagree with the idea that as a coaches' representative, Wesley is entirely unconstrained by the NCAA from having contact with basketball players. If Calipari can't have contact with recruits during dead periods, then neither can his agent. The NCAA will draw no distinction between the two. That's the whole idea behind agency, one person acting on behalf of another. The article overstates Wesley's power here.

Your right WG, that is a great article, very enlightening!

I suspect it will be generally be ignored by most because it is much easier to paint WWW as some sinister backroom figure than to recognize the truth.
