It really puts things in perspective. My wife and I earn very good salaries. Our savings rate is ridiculously high. We have no debt. But unless the market cooperates nicely and we live to a ripe old age, we won't see that kind of money in our lifetimes.
Yes, looking back on it all, I see now that I should have been a high lottery pick.
