ok its all a blur now--i cant keep up no more. too many stars!!...ill just concentrate on the team we got now
I'm thrilled what Cal is doing with the program. Perhaps we will have a much more difficult time winning our next championship, but being the king of the hill all year except for one day is great, and when we finally do win it all it will be the best it has ever been. Cal is rewriting the book.
Nice, isn't it? But the one thing that would make this experiment work like a charm is the one thing Calipari seems incapable of doing: keeping some of our most promising players in school a little longer.
The lack of experience and teamwork, under pressure late in the year, will be tough to overcome if he keeps pushing them out the door asap. What's more, he's depriving them of some of the best times of their lives. There has to be a balance of interests.
I like that he's picking off some of that west coast talent. Did you see this kid's list before the Kentucky offer? UCLA, Cal, Arizona, Washington and Stanford. Cal is casting a wide net.
I'll disagree Wheat, the one thing that would make this experiment work would be a National Title, regardless of what players stay or not. This one & done deal is only going to be good for a couple of years anyway. No way the Players Assoc is going to let this continue.

It's become the norm in 1 year to pretty much hear only 5 star players being pursued by the Cats, my how things have changed....
