Gary Parrish from CBSSports.com says it's difficult to imagine a scenario where UK isn't forced to vacate every game in which Eric Bledsoe participated

Parish's remarks do not take into consideration cases like Darrell Arthur which do not hold Schools retro actively accountable in theses situations. He based his opinion completely upon the "strict liability" condition that the NCAA adopted for the Derrick Rose case. Why the NCAA adopted strict liability in that case is a mystery for just about everybody, they should have not been held accountable - which is the norm and clearly the UK/Bledsoe case would not fall under strict liability.
To sum up. Poorly thought out and misleading article from one of the better sports reporters. The likelihood of Kentucky receiving any penalties from the Bledsoe case are minimal.
Parrish is a good writer, but here he makes a demonstrably false statement:
"According to Solomon, Bledsoe made a C instead of an A in Algebra III during his senior year of high school."
Jon Solomon said no such thing. He merely reported that there appeared to be a conflict between a grade on Bledsoe's transcript and a printout of the night-school grade report. A printout the night-school teacher says is incorrect.
Such carelessness about the facts only stokes the haters and makes our job that much more difficult to set the record straight. But Anon1 is right: Gary is one of the better sports writers.
I really dont see how UK can be punished. They had Bledsoe cleared twice and if there was somethin wrong the NCAA should have noticed. If they vacate this past season that just shows they really are out to hurt Cal's reputation. UK followed every single rule and should be credited for that. If UK covered it up then I could see, but Sandy Bell went by the book twice on this. UK should not be punished and if they are I expect Sandy Bell and UK to really go after the NCAA. Sandy dont play from what I gather and is known as one of the best compliance officers out there. Here's to hoping all these stupid reporters are just as clueless as we always figured.

But then again you can never tell about the NCAA.
Maybe things have changed, but when I went to school, the teacher determined the grade. Sports reporters and rival schools didn't get a say in it.
