We all love a juicy piece of gossip. But it's the same kind of irresponsible reporting we get all jacked up about when it's aimed at Calipari. Doyell has no evidence. He doesn't say it's true. He's just loosely speculating. That he wouldn't be surprised if it turned out to be the case is hardly grounds for discussing such a possibility in public.
I'm guessing the reaction of Illini fans will sound pretty familiar to us.
