Nice three players on the list. Still can't believe that Big Blue Madness is a few weeks away. It feels like the 09-10 season just ended. Bring on the UK domination.

Domination? Final 4?
Hell that's what you said last year. But it didn't happen did it?
Second verse same as the first. If your lucky.

Memphis, Tennessee
Population: 670,100

Memphis has one of the worst violent crime rates in the country, and was ranked third by Forbes in its list of miserable cities for corruption by city officials.

According to stats released by the Federal Bureau of Investigations, the city had the second-worst rate of violent crime. NeighborhoodScout, which tracks crime and other factors in various cities and neighborhoods said "One's chance of becoming a victim of either violent or property crime here is one in 10. Within Tennessee, more than 90% of the communities have a lower crime rate than Memphis."

As for political corruption, reportedly nearly one public official per month over the last decade has been charged with public corruption. Recently, a former city administrator used a city account that was supposed to be for auto parts to buy big screen televisions.

And oh yeah, the Bledsoe grade thing is, you guessed it, over.

Nice to see 3 players on the list but one of those players will have to get eligible first. With Enes I could easily see a run to the final four. I have said to everyone I know I think this team has more potential than last years team. They do not possess the raw athleticism and overall NBA talent last years team did, but they can shoot. Three point % was always an Achilles heel for the 09' squad. We also have experienced impact players with Darius Miller, DeAndre Liggins and Josh Harrelson. Last years team was fast and exciting but they were also very immature. This team seems to be much more mature and seems to be gelling a lot better.

You also have to look at the NCAA as a whole and see there are really only 3-4 teams that are very good this year (Purdue, MSU and Duke). After that you have about 20 teams who are pretty even.
I don't expect another 35-3 season but I think, come tournament time, this team could be a force to be reckoned with.

Couldn't agree more. My sentiments exactly.

Are we not supposed to feel good about last year? We had a damn fine year, what with a first-year coach and a bunch of high school seniors. Top five ranking the entire year, won the SEC and SEC tourney, garnered a No. 1 seed (but not THE No. 1 seed), but stumbled in a single-elimination tournament with a woeful shooting night from beyond the arc (omg, 0-20?). Three of those go in, it's the Final Four.

A disappointing ending, as 63 other teams will tell you, but 35-3? Yeah, we'll take that for starters!

Funny thing about Cal. While at Memphis he built his teams with players ranked 30 to 150 with the addition of great PG's - Rose and Reke and did very well.
He goes to KY and has 5 NBA 1st rounders and achieved the same results. Why is that? You may get lucky and get to F4 with Great freshmen but the stats don't show it rarely happens. I believe that w/o Kantner you will get blown out in the S16. WINNING TEANS teams have great chemistry and that is tough to get in one short season. It just seems to me Cal wants a shortcut to a NC.

Winning teams do have good chemistry but I guarantee you any coach that has ever won a national title will tell you that above all else the one factor that attributed to their tournament success was luck. Either you get a lucky draw, get lucky in a game, hit a last second buzzer beater... the list could go on and on. The best team in the nation rarely wins the national title in basketball and I think that says something about how much of a factor luck is in the tournament.
