Good get for Xavier. A good miss for Kentucky

Correct. If any recruit we are after chooses another school, it is only because we didn't really want him.
Go Kittens!

Zagsblog reported on Oct. 14: "[AAU coach] Reggie Rose, who also coaches 6-11, 240-pound center Michael Chandler, said Chandler will visit Indiana this coming weekend and will 'probably take one more visit' after that.

"Rose said they haven’t decided which school will get that visit.

"Chandler, who previously committed to Louisville, has already visited Providence and West Virginia.

"Rose said Xavier has also become involved recently but that Kentucky had stepped back." [italics mine]

So put your sarcasm to rest, Anon#5. In this case, it does appear that UK backed off from recruiting this guy. And, not coincidentally, is expressing heavy interest in another center, Baru.

What's the big deal with schools and players making decisions that leads one to think 'You missed on him.' Anon #1 says UK was never after him then WG sends a link where UK backed off him. Which one is it? More importantly who cares?

Then there's the thought when you know you can't get a player simply state you backed off to save face. This recruiting propaganda on all fronts has been blown way out of proportion.
