Tony Woods’ former summer coach told FOXSports.com that Kentucky has expressed interest in recruiting him

Sounds to me that he would fit right in at Louisville rather than UK. Recently incarcerated for beating his girlfriend... he and Knowles would get along very well. Hey, maybe Pitino can sell him on his lawyer connections instead of hiring his brother or cousin or AAU coach this time.

I know Cal's big on giving young men second chances but I just don't get a good vibe on this one. I say let the Ville have him, better fit for them.

Cal doesn't shy away from players with an issue. And he'd be a great coach for Woods, in basketball and in life.

I'm a little more concerned about what Cal thinks the need is. Woods has size (6'10 or 6'11, 250) but hasn't distinguished himself. The earliest he could play is the second half of 2012. So is Cal looking for a backup to Drummond or some other top center, or is he concerned he might not land a top center? The 2012 class has a lot of quality big men that could play both semesters. So I'd like to know what the strategy is.
