UK is ranked 15th in the final FoxSports.com preseason poll

I'm a little baffled at UK being 15 here. Unless they are assuming Kanter will not get eligible, it seems a little bit of a low ranking. I find it hard to believe Washington, Missouri, Illinois, UNC etc... will be better than UK (With Kanter). I realize we don't know what to expect from this team yet but on talent alone I would figure them around an 8 or 9 ranking. They put Ohio St. at 4 and their class was not as good as UK's; plus their "key returnee's" are as good or worse than UK's. Oh well, I guess this will all sort itself out in the end
I suspect just the uncertainty of Kanter is what has the Cats lower in the rankings. That is fine by me, a little pressure off in the beginning will be a blessing.
I think it's great if we're ranked pre-season AP around 10-12. Let's take a little pressure off these new guys from the get go. We all know the new class is ranked high, but their personalities may be nothing like last years group. Those guys seemed to thrive on the pressure but we don't know about this group yet.
I'd rather have them ranked lower and play with a HUGE chip on their shoulder than playing with their heads in the clouds.
