Eric Crawford doesn't like the chances of Enes Kanter winning his NCAA appeal

Crawford starts from the premise that Kanter received pay for play. Once you go there, you can't come back. Pros can't play in the NCAA.

He's missing the point. Which is whether excessive expenses from a pro team are such that they can fairly be called a salary. Is $700,000 above actual and necessary expenses enough to ban a recruit for life? What about $700? Shades of gray that Crawford paints black, and then wonders how there can be any question.
