Watched Miller in HS. He would often defer to his teammates so they could score. He is not a glory-hound at all. His aggression would only rise toward the end of a game if it was necessary to win.
With UK, we need him to come out of the gate playing like its the end of a close contest. Through most of his playing career he simply is unaccustomed to this. Coach Cal is faced with overcoming years of 'habit'.
That's why we pay Cal the big bucks. Miller is one of the most talented athletes on this team but only shows it occasionally. He gets to the basket but hardly ever finishes. I think the only reason he starts is that Cal does not want to crush him emotionally. I say do it and see if the fire gets lit. Otherwise we'll see this until his career is over.
