DeAndre Daniels could well land at a college in January- he could then opt to either play right away or redshirt and wait until the fall of 2011

Glenrider is Arte Johnson? Veeeery interesting indeed. But schtupid. (I'm not really a million years old.)

Rivals.com has Daniels 5-star at #9.
Scout.com has him 4-star at #35.
ESPN has him 4-star #36. ESPN's lowdown:

Strengths:
Daniels is a skilled small forward with excellent size and length. He is definitely one of the elite scorers in the country and has that special knack to score in a variety of ways. He runs very well with great speed where he can beat defenders to the rim. He can hit the 3-point shot off the catch from a kick out pass or ball reversal. His shot is smooth and his release is effortless. He simply shoots over smaller defenders with ease and he has become much more potent shooting in transition. He can pick and op to shoot or drive. In addition, he also does a good job of rebounding at both ends of the floor.

Weaknesses:
Daniels has a slender frame that may struggle to add significant muscle to bang at the next level. Due to his lack of strength he ends up on the floor when trying to finish with contact. Another area of concern is his approach to the game. His aggressive nature is fine, but far too often he takes bad shots and displays very little effort to get his teammates good looks. Many times in game situations he doesn't play with purpose in mind and will repeatedly make a bad decision either leading to a forced shot or a turnover.

Bottom Line:
Daniels plans on reclassifying to the class of 2011. He is an elite scorer for his size and can hurt his opponents in a variety of ways. However, if he could implement passing to his offensive arsenal and develop some savvy for how the game should be played with other teammates his game would go to another level.
