1st anonymous... you better hope for your teams sake. What if...Liggins, Lamb, Miller, Hood, Poole, Knight, Davis, Gilcrist, Teague, Wiltjer, Kanter?, Daniels?, and Lacey?...that will be an unbelievable team. It is not as far fetched as some trolls might think either.
What will the Kanters do with the $30k if he can't play?......That's right keep it.
He is a pro no matter what they choose to do with it. He was not paid because he is a good kid. He was paid to play professionally, now he wants to be an amateur again. Too bad....Just wish him the best and hope he don't become a Clipper.
Why do you say he was paid to play professionally? That's not what the NCAA ruled. They ruled he received an overpayment of expenses. Expenses, which the NCAA allows to a point, hardly makes you a pro.
Besides, you can't reasonably argue that Ulker paid one of their big men $30k as a salary to play ball. The other big men on that team averaged over 7 figures!
Now, if they paid him hundreds of thousands of dollars, then I'd agree with you. No one could say we're still talking about expenses. But c'mon, the figure here doesn't support your conclusion.
And I'll add this: Dee Bost of Mississippi State lost his amateur status by rule. And he's playing ball in another week or so. Somehow the NCAA let HIM become an amateur again. Does that change your "too bad" argument?

Permanently ineligible - NCAA
Pitino should be permanently ineligible for citizenship.

Why do you always insist on hijacking logical dialogue?
I think the better question is why do find the need to be here.
