A more sympathetic appeals panel might be persuaded to let Enes Kanter benefit from the Mack truck-sized loophole created by the Cam Newton decision

Thanks, Glenrider.

"Loophole" is a word you use when you want to disparage, when you want to imply that someone has found an unforeseen way of avoiding compliance. The Cam Newton ruling is just the opposite. It's an affirmative policy position, not a loophole. It's the NCAA saying we're not going to punish a player who was not responsible for a violation.

Only flaw in this otherwise solid opinion is that the NCAA rarely does the logical.
