Rick Pitino agreed to coach the Puerto Rico national team in order to get 2012 five star recruit Richard Ledo or another big-time prospect to Louisville

pretty sad that this is what you have to stoop to in order to keep up with a guy who is dominating you in every aspect 70 miles to the southeast of where you are.

I wasn't being disparaging, I think it's a good move on Rick's part.

Cal should do the same if given the opportunity.

Anyone think Louisville's new "NBA Type" arena has had anything to do with Pitino's sudden upsurge in high end recruiting?

You bet your ass it has and UK should have one bigger and better.....no excuse not to!

Pitino is doing a smart thing if it will help him in recruiting.

If it will help Cal someway, he should do the same.

Surely there is some rule that prevents a coach from gaining such a recruiting advantage over his competitors, one that keeps the playing field level. There can't be a loophole that big, can there?
