were we expecting anything different? Turnover in the clutch, and we cant set up a play to get open for a good look to win. Calipari is a good coach but something about him as well at the end of games raises some BIG questions.....
well as much as our recruits are incredible, they still make freshman mistakes. I cant believe we threw the ball away like that at the end, and thats not Cals fault. However the last play was simply dumb and THAT was Cals fault. We simply cannot rely on one or two guys to win ballgames for us, and to me it looked as if BK was the only one who did anything or WAS to do anything substantial in the OT. Also we were relying on Kanter this season. So 10 losses is exactly what we all expected- if you expected more than that without Kanter you are in lah lah land.
This team has three future NBA players, two of which will be stars and yet the rationalizations run wild blaming the season on No Kanter. There must be some valid excuses, none of which the Kentucky fans want to acknowledge.
I've said from the beginning of the year that these guys had low 'basketball' IQ's and they prove it over and over. I find it hard to believe that Cal is not coaching these guys every day on the basics.
Jone's still just floats around where he wants or shouldn't be, Jorts always goes out to high on the switch and NEVER gets back to the rolling player, Lamb gets lost or will not play defense, and Miller is still an enigma. Knight has to spend a great deal of time just getting these guys in the correct positions on offense and I believe he's just exhausted.
We get lost on the switch over and over, constantly have problems on getting the ball in on the inbounds, cannot defend the inbounds play, and look completely lost most of the time. Hopefully next years class will get it, and whomever stays will have learned something.
The fans act like this team is supposed to be comparable to last year. This is total rubbish. When in the history of college basketball have there been 2 first team all Americans who are freshmen on the same team. This team plays exactly at the level they should based on experience and talent. Hopefully, they will catch onto their defensive assignments before the year is done and things will start to happen. There is still time for this years edition to get to the final four.
Cal has always been a mediocre coach but an outstanding recruiter. Even in that weak C-USA until Cinn, Marq, and Lou left. Without superior athletes he is an average coach. Always have been. Maybe the blue tint will start to wear off and you can see him for what he really is, A Great recruiter and excellent salesman.
I have seen no improvement in these guys. I know they are just freshman, but after 27 games, you aren't freshmen anymore. Coach Cal just got out coached in the OT. BK has made some crucial turn overs in late game situations all year.

Good luck in the SEC tourney.
Wildcats are just no good this year.
we're always disappointed in a loss but BBN has your backs. Please guard our yard and beat Florida; as P Pat said we'll be fine.
We have a recruiter..What we need is someone to coach the recruits.

You do realize we will be playing our 30th game Saturday and it could be we have only 5 games to play this season?

I see a lot of whiners. What would YOU do with 3 freshmen in a 6 man rotation?
