Calipari insists his Wildcats are playing for NCAA tournament seeding and not any league hardware

To be honest this chafes me a bit with Cal. You would think after the tremendous SEC tourney and the 90% Big Blue turn out and support in Nashville last year he'd at least sell the idea for the fans whether he means it or not. For someone that is so publicity savvy I can't quite understand his logic here. We as fans know the SEC tourney is not as important as the NCAA but it IS important to Kentucky, he seems completely content selling it short.

i read the article Marc, but where exactly does it say this?
The writer takes what Cal says, then takes it to the other coaches for their opinion.
i dont see an outright statement that says:
"we arent playing for SEC hardware but just for seeding "

gotta watch these writers and the crap they "suggest"

I was commenting on Cal's attitude from past comments he's made and Aaron's post topic for this one, honestly though I didn't read it. He made comments the other day to the same affect so I assumed... none the less I don't care for Cal's thinking on this aspect or atleast his public announcement of such.

Next time I'll make sure to read first.. LOL

"Think before you speak" is a good rule.

"The greatest day in UK history."

"I don't care about winning the SEC tourney."

"I could care less about a players only meeting."

It just doesn't sit well with me. I know he is the coach but still.
