John Pelfrey has never beaten UK as a college basketball coach
Well he has now Wild Cat basketball I think when they go on the road they should be called the Tame Kittens because they are now 1 and 7 I believe I am a UK fan but let's face it they are now a real good team and iof they make the turney they will be one and done you can't win when you play no defence like what I saw at Ark. and you need more to play more than 6 of 7 players!!!
Name being used elsewhere. Calling them: "The Unclutchables"
I've been through this with HS team. It is tough, people start looking at each other, spirit is down. But you'll never crawl out of the hole unless you keep playing hard.
I didn't see this year coming mostly because I felt we would pick up Enes. Time to stop looking too far ahead and focus on one game at a time.
Until tonight. What is wrong with this team? I know that we are spoiled because of last year's team. Who wouldn't be? But, having said that, is it just because we don't have enough players? Maybe that's it. OUr guys are worn out and that causes great frustration in t hat they can't play up to their usual potential. I'm just guessing but I can't come up with anything else.
Our players have great "potential". They are still young, and yes we dont have Kanter. I know it stinks but 10-11 losses is expected. hang in there and enjoy it as well as you can. next year brings a MUCH deeper team. I hope this year we can at least make the sweet 16- thatd be nice.
You can't get past the great 8 with 5 NBA first rounders and you can't get out of the SEC cellar with 3. Yet you guys are convinced that next year will bring the trophy.
Congratulations Coach Pelphrey, good job. UK's bench deserves a shout-out, too, for their tireless support and encouragement which I peeped last night. Let's go Cats, beat Florida!
It seems like the SEC is pretty tough on the road this year, eh?! I wonder if we are going to hear the same old "SEC is weak" next year after they get 5 of the top 25 recruiting classes in basketball? Some of you broken records might need a change of tune.
just stating facts. The SEC is not good. Im an SEc and Cat fan --FYI. I went to the UT Vandy game and Vandy had 3 offensive rebounds the whole game. This is Vandy team that beat us!(Memorial Gym is hard to play at no doubt) I hope SEC puts on a good showing, but cmon, lets be real.
