The realist in me says "not likely", I hope I am wrong.... :)
The Cats could progress to that point by tourney time but right now I'm not seeing it.
I'm like you Marc. I see great potential in UK but after watching teams like Ohio State and Texas with a strong post man and deeper benches ... That being said, the NCAA tourney is not about who is the best overall team. It isn't really, it is about who gets hot for 6 games, the luck of the seeding (Duke last year, UNC their last championship) and guts.

i dont see UK going to the final 4.
i say Sweet 16 and a heartbreaker going into the final 8
we just dont have that big man, unless one of our guys becomes possessed, then maybe the final 8.
Anon is probably right. If UK makes Elite Eight we should be extremely pleased. Overjoyed for a Final Four.
If we make the Elite 8 Cal should be Coach of the Year.
