Well said by some Sporting News staff reporter. Who ever he is, he is dead on the money. Kentucky fans want a new arena because of envy and a delusion of entitlement. Their Civic leaders and school administrators want one because of their attitude that someone else will pay for it, why not. Both are right and ready to risk tradition and common sense to satisfy their insatiable corporeal needs. And the losers will ultimately be - the average Kentucky citizen that has no int rest in UK basketball.
No, UK fans want a new arena because the upper level sucks and UK is awesome again so more seats are appropriate. Most schools wouldnt bother cuz they cant fill the seats, UK knows they will no questions about it, so it will pay for itself in the end. Rupp is old, it's time for an upgrade. Why would a UK fan be envious? Sounds like a you are just a stupid Loserville fan!
The OP didn't sound envious at all, he sounded critical. And it perfectly clear why. He doesn't care to pay for it. If you didn't understand that, then perhaps you aren't the Loserville fan here, but you are the stupid one.
