There is a long history of Kentucky being afraid to play Marquette

I would have titled this link as "Marquette writer believes there is a long history..." After reading the article, it sounds like a conspiracy theory. It could just be that EVERYBODY wants to play Kentucky, but there are just so many games during the regular season and they can't accommodate everyone. Kentucky has to play the teams that benefit Kentucky, either because they are ranked high enough to improve UK's SOS or because they have a connection via a coach or player. Marquette obviously fulfills neither of those requirements.

Yeah that writer is dumb. No one is scared of Marquette. Yeah they beat us some, but they wont want to play this UK team. Would be nice to see them meet up in the NCAA tourney now, if they even make it!

And Todd you are right, everyone wants to play UK because we are who we are. And we attract a lot of attention. Maybe they want to play us so they can be seen on ESPN.
