UCLA plays a boring offense that is not Shabazz's style. While I agree with ^^ about UK and draft stock, truth is, Ben Howland has put several players in the NBA recently. But, you dont hear much about them during the regular season.

Shabazz is a top lottery pick no matter where he goes to school. Heck Morehead State just produced a 1st rounder. If you can ball you can ball. UK is not your best chance to improve your stock. A big myth. Shabazz is %100 lottery pick regardless. You guys are pathetic.
not necessarily/hold on there buckaroo.. Why are we having this conversation If Cal didnt have the track record of doing it to begin with then -really. You cant ASSUME after a year he will be a lottery pick. i think the opinion here is Cal gets them ready about as good as anybody, and going to UCLA- while it may be a cakewalk for SHA, it may not be the best for him "getting ready" for the NBA. my 2 cents, pathetic or not
Sounds like someone is a hater and doesnt want Shabazz at UK. Just because you are a great high school player doesnt mean you are automatically going to be a lottery pick. Scotty Hopson prime example. #8 player in his class and what happened to him? He went to UT and now I guess he's overseas somewhere. There is a big difference between hs and college, obviously Cal is one of the bst at gettin his players ready. Look no further than Josh Harrellson to prove that theory.

It's just simple math really. Go to UK and your lottery ticket has a 90% chance of making you and your family rich in a couple years.
Go to UCLA and it drops to 25%.
Do what's best for your family.

Shabazz is not a lock for lottery pick from what I've seen. He's good, very good, but not amazing and no one will see him play at UCLA.
You really think NBA scouts are going to go to the NIT to watch him play?
At UCLA he plays 3 years then goes early second round. At UK, one year and goes about 6th in the draft.
i think if he goes UCLA, then one and done and top 15 pick, but at UK yes i agree he goes 6th
