Kentucky's best shooter is Tyler Ulis. No one know that and Ulis is committed to passing the ball regardless of whether he has an open shot or not. In some prior games he has been so tentative that it has effected his shots.
When this team realizes that patience is sometimes more prudent on the fast break and that the quick pass is always not the best choice when a 3 on 1 or 2 on 1 or even a 4 on 3 is often better than forcing a drive or drawing a foul. They have more material to work with here than any college team in basketball but must also realize that threes or dunks are not all in basketball. Their zone offense is mediocre. The wings are too wide. The point is out too far and must force the zone to do what he wants or they will be playing 5 against 4. Penetration will create a better shot than a lob. If Willie Callie-Stein posts at the free throw line then Ulis has room to move in and take the 3.If the wings will pu;; in and not be beyond NBA 3 point line whwn they swing the ball the baseline runner will get opportunities down low. This team is talented. and could be great.

Sorry for the terrible typing. Ulis is the Ulis of the Bahamas. He is a pull up shooter and has a second gear and can get to the basket but I have seen him on several occasions penetrate and pass an open shot. He is a pull up jump shooter in the mode of Duke prototypes.
Willie Callie Stein and Dakari Johnson are gazelles as is Poythress. Booker is in that mode and Ky has more bigs that can run the cour than any college team I can remember. They fall in the category of Phi Slamma Jamma. They should watch some footage of the great Wooden teams and watch how they used the zone press and fast break and how they filled the lanes or pulled up at the free throw line for an easy jumper.
