Pay no mind to Calipari's denials based on semantics. "I'm not out searching for jobs." or "You won't hear about other colleges because I have the best job." Several NBA sources confirmed Yahoo! Sports' original report that Calipari has interest.
If John stated publicly that Memphis offered him more money at the time but UK was his "Dream Job." Now UK is the top of the college coaching chain (I'll painfully admit the truth) but cannot outpay an NBA franchise if they really want coach Cal. This begs the question "Is UK's AD (MB) actually bidding against themselves?
Only Chicago-based media are clinging to the "Cal is interested" story. DeCourcy at SI reports that Cal says he will remain Kentucky's coach, and that in response to the Yahoo! Sports report, "Calipari denied he is interested in becoming head coach of the NBA's Chicago Bulls."
I don't base anything on what Calipari says. He told Memphis the same thing before he left. He said UK was his DREAM JOB. Now after one year and being the highest paid college coach he is willing to listen. Hey let's give credit where it's due, he is a master at what he is doing. I thought he could get away with it at Memphis, UMASS etc... But not at UK. Coach K has a much better college resume, respect and Olympic goal yet he turned away from 12m annually. If Cal is at his dream job, making NBA coaching salary and "happy at Kentucky" then why on earth is Mitch dancing with him?

No semantics there.
