Head coaches in basketball will be held directly
accountable for NCAA rules violations by members of their coaching staff
in new legislation that is expected to be adopted by
the Division 1 Board of Directors

That's kinda like saying I'm responsible for my co-workers'irresponsible decisions! Hope Coach Cals' assistants are aware of the impact 1 wrong decision can have on him now!
Man, football head coaches are the ones that are really going to suffer. The smaller numbers involved with a basketball staff will be a whole lot more manageable than that found on a football departments staff.

They might as well call this the Coach Cal rule, as I'm sure Emmert pushed for it hoping to finally punish him!!!
