Bruce Pearl is smoking what his players are selling
he's so bitter about Cal to UK still that he's talking out of his butt.
Florida is bleeding talent and truthfully that's a slap in the face of his team and new recruits. I doubt UF has a player next year to compete with Tobias Harris - much less Brandon Knight, etc.
Ok, yes, Florida will be better next season. To say they are more talented is very debatable. The fact of the matter is Pearl has no clue how talented most of the incoming players are for UK (not many people do) they told Tenn no a really long time ago (haha). Predicting a teams talent that hasn't even practiced yet is borderline insane. Florida may be more talented, but somehow I doubt it. They will have a good team next year and give UK a good run, but my money is still on the cats.
Aaron, this is the second post in the last 6-7 posts you posted about what pearl thinks. Who really cares what pearl thinks. These are smoke screens and mind games (i give him too much credit maybe). The question is not how good Florida might be but why pearl is so eager to endorse them over his own team..hmm. If he thinks creating a diversion would gain whatever he thinks is going to create, then I'm going to question his intelligence b/c his assessment would backfire on him. there is no need for him to elevate the rivalry between FL and KY b/c of all the FL recruits that have chosen KY. It's intense already and pearl would not be able to hide in the shadows b/c of this rivalry and take advantage of the situation, Cal and Donovan are smarter than that. pearl better have his troops ready. he wants to make FL pseudo leader in the SEC more power to him but he is not fooling anybody.
What's this, no love for my orange-faced man in Knoxville? This guy looks like a walking heart attack, doesn't he? I'd like to see him drop 30-50 pounds. Cal's got a little paunch goin' himself. C'mon Cal, you can lose most of that before the first tip-off!
I don't know what Bruce "The Bronzer" Pearl is going on about. There appears to be a consensus that no one really cares. I do know that he believes it's important to be heard, to keep your name and your school noticed. Some say that's why Cal doesn't particularly mind all the rumormongering about him and the NBA. He wants recruits to think some NBA teams would like to have him. (Even when it's pretty clear they wouldn't.)
Pearl is a very good coach--i like him. I wouldnt mind having him at UK if all else failed. Ive never found anything about him i dint like. He took a team to the great 8 last year that wasnt supposed to. Hes got some really good talent coming in this year.

All part of Pearls shtick, self deprecate your own team, praise another he knows is inferior then reap the accolades when he beats them....

This is a jab at Ky and a prop up for a team that Bruce has gone 8-2 against since he's started. Bruce knows how to work the media.
