ESPN's Dana O'Neil says the NCAA's options include deeming Eric Bledsoe ineligible, which could lead to forfeited games or a vacated season for UK

ok again why didnt ku have to lose there title 2 years ago when they had a player on there team that didnt finish high school

The same reason no one cares about the Pump brothers or UCONN when both situations are far more serious than UK's.

Memphis asked that question about Kansas a thousand times and it did no good.

This all screams of jealousy over Coach Cal's recruiting ability. Either provide some real proof of something shady or just stop with all the misleading accusations.

we should get used to this kind of behavior...no matter what cal does, people are going to try their hardest to dig up dirt on he and his recruits. Fair? No. Will it happen over and over again? Yes

This is ridiculous. Bledsoe had a GPA after three years of less than 2.0. Then he changes high schools and gets an A in both Algebra 2 & 3. When a program like UK mens basketball offers a kid a scholarship there should be a pretty good background check even if the NCAA has approved the situation. Folks, there is no bigger UK fan than me and I enjoyed this season as much as anybody. But to think we could possibly forfeit the season turns my stomach. We need to ask ourselves is having Coach Cal worth it. Look at what Butler did this year with some second tier talent. Rember, we are UK and we can get quality players that will stick around and develop into a team that can possibly win a championship. I am just venting maybe tomorrow I will feel differently.

It seems to me that someone has an ax to grind with Calapari and they will not stop until they find SOMETHING that will finally stick. I think it's all very childish and extremely pathetic.

I'm not sure I'm following the "ax to grind with Calipari" angle. Strikes me a bit paranoid. But UW fans might agree with you! Some fantasize that this is retribution for Calipari stealing Terrence Jones from UW. You know, because the new NCAA president, Mark Emmert, was the former UW president. So naturally he will punish Calipari to avenge the loss of Jones. Don't mess with the Dawgs if you don't want to get bit!

People are funny. In a sad kind of way.

I watched a local late night sports wrap show last night and they talked about this. A guy on the program pretty much nailed it. He said, "If the NCAA wanted to, they could find something a team of ANY sport at ANY college." he continued to say, "There are a lot of reporters out there who are out to get Coach Cal." The panel talked about how there is so much pressure on these reporters from fans of other schools (AKA "haters") who are eager to find and read something. Haters who read this blog is proof of that. This will continue to happen, as long as Coach Cal is at UK.

That might be. Selective enforcement. Denying equal protection of the laws. But it's nothing but speculation.

I do agree with the motivation of sportswriters. There is a cottage industry out there that understands one thing: if you say awful things about Calipari, you are guaranteed to attract major attention and major hits for the website advertisers. The nastier, the better. That's indisputable.

Haters?????? Come on. Wake the F.... up!!
3 schools.....3 problems!!!
It has nothing to do with HATING. It has something to do with someone constantly cheating and then plastering himself in all the media like he is a damn hero. This is college sports and it should be fun to watch. It shouldn't be something that creates atmospheres like this. This atmosphere is creating young men that are willing to cheat to advance to the NBA.
And we are supposed to sit back and be manipulated and happy with all of this?

The NCAA is crooked as hell and the Big BCS is nothing buta bunch of money whores that think they can do whatever they want at everybodys expense.
Play ball by the rules an quit F...... with everybody.

What is basis of the UK problem? The NCAA failed to make a report which was above reproach, and so their reputation as a gatekeeper lack competency. Their report is taken as fact and used as fact. Can the NCAA persist in the fact of their obvious lack of integrity?

To anonymous who posted at 9:49...you are complete idiot. Cal nor UK has done nothing wrong with Eric Bledsoe. The high school changes and money for rent occured before major schools were even recruiting him. And the high school coach has not ties to any schools. So him helping to pay rent it an act of kindness. It's like Matt Jones just posted on his website, how is that situation any different than Michael Oher? Cal is always targeted. Here it is UConn is in actually trouble but you're not hearing much about it. Kansas has a ticket scam goin on, and you're not hearing much about it. Like someone said, Kansas had a player who didnt even complete high school but it's ok. Now that's it UK and what happened with Bledsoe's coach, people wanna try and blame Calipari instead of facing reality that maybe this coach was helping him out of the goodness of his heart. Cal has done nothing wrong, Bledsoe has done nothing wrong. And if anything, Bledsoe should sue the NYT for obtaining his transcripts illegally. And also, the UK and NCAA did extensive investigations on him, one of the longest in recent UK history. If the NCAA cleared him and now wants to rened, then the NCAA needs to come under some serious fire.

The NCAA has done nothing to Kentucky as yet, and has released nothing that suggests they intend to. Yet Anonymouse in Memphis is spewing his venom balls out like as if his neurosis of hate for Cal has been vindicated and Kentucky fans are arguing with him like the idiot he is, and running around squealing like stuck pigs. Top that off with the latest polls showing the newly elected Grand Wizard Rand Paul leading in polls by double digits, and I think it wise to advise anybody with the means to head north where there is still an element of sanity.

Head North??? Surely you jest????
